Notes:
  1. This calculator provides average melee damage including the effects of shielding and armour.
  2. For PvE or EvP monster statistics see the creature page. Creature stance is normally balanced.
  3. For PvP, resultant damage is halved.
  4. Player distance attacks bypass shielding so use Defence = 0.
  5. For ranged attacks average damage does not account for accuracy. Skill efficiency does not account for ranged blood hits.
  6. ‘Average hit’ discounts any misses - this is the average of the numbers you see.
  7. Top hit table shows the damage values with 1/10 to 1/10,000 chance to occur.
  8. The value in the final column of the top hit table calculates the chance to hit or exceed the entered damage. For example if you enter the HP of the target you could calculate the chance to one-hit-kill.
  9. 'Attacker blocking' is the number of units attacking the player which can affect training efficiency. Set to zero if no shield is equipped.
  10. Time to kill is the exact expected number of attacks to reduce the Defender's Hit Points to 0 (accounting for overkill on the final hit), assuming a 2 second attack interval. Hit Points is editable (auto-filled from the selected creature). Hits to kill and kills per hour are derived from this same figure.
  11. If the exact time to kill would exceed 1 hour (1800 attacks), it is shown as "> 60 minutes" rather than a precise figure.
  12. '15 minute efficiency' models AFK training where you log out 15 minutes after starting: if the kill takes less than 15 minutes, training efficiency is scaled down by the idle time spent waiting to log out.
  13. Theoretical max xp/hr is Experience divided by the true time to kill, assuming back-to-back kills with zero downtime between them (no travel, looting, or respawn waiting) - a ceiling, not a realistic sustained rate. Experience is editable (auto-filled from the selected creature).
